Grade K-1 Unit Goals
Unit Title: CONSTRUCTION
At the completion of this unit, the student will be able to:
A. Identify tradespeople involved in the building process.
B. Identify several common building tools and machines (heavy equipment).
C. Name construction terms for materials in the home or building.
D. Identify how buildings are started.
E. Identify what is needed in different rooms.
Note:
Although this unit specifies a two-three day usage, several plans can be extended.
The units are designed so that teachers can choose elements which are best suited for their individual classes.
