BOX HOUSE ACTIVITY

 

Materials:

• shoe boxes or other small boxes
• glue
• markers
• string
• pipe cleaners

Procedures:

1. Glue four boxes together, one stacked on top of another.

• a. The box, once stacked, will have one room each of the following, bath, kitchen, bedroom, living room/great room/den, for a total of four rooms.
  

2. Decide which section will be used for a particular room.

3. Use string to illustrate where "wiring" will go.

• a. Punch holes through "walls" where wiring must connect from one room to another.
  
  
• b. Push string through each hole.
  

4. Use a marker to show where plumbing will be placed.
