Skeleton Song
Sung to the tune of "Oh! My Darling Clementine"
Oh! a skeleton, oh! a skeleton, oh! a skeleton can hold things up.
Oh! a skeleton, oh! a skeleton, oh! a skeleton can hold things up
In a house there is a skeleton, and it certainly holds things up.
It a rather bony fellow, and it's made all out of studs
What are studs hey? What are studs hey? They are just, pieces of wood
But they work hard at what they're doing, end it's all so very good.
The roof is heavy, the roof is heavy so it needs so much support
If the studs don't carry the roof weight it will fall down sure enough.
A good foundation, a good foundation helps the frame and the roof too
It supports the entire house so, it must be tried and true.
All together, all together, oh the parts are very strong,
and so the new house will be standing very proud as years roll on.
