Electronic Coloring Book
This section provides construction-related coloring pages including original coloring pages that were developed by Mr. Ron Alexander, Head of The University of Louisiana at Monroe Art Department. The drawings were specifically developed for this site and several are linked to several activities and lessons that appear elsewhere on this site.
You are encouraged to print and copy these drawings for classroom use. It would be appropriate to use these drawings as a part of a unit on career or occupational studies. Students should be encouraged to notice heavy equipment and construction site activities to determine specific colors that are actually used on equipment in their own neighborhood or that they find in books or web sites. Authenticity of color selections may be a goal of using these pages.
If the capability exists, these drawings provide an excellent context for students to use computer coloring capabilities. If a color printer is available for reproducing hard copy, the experience can be enhanced even more. Enjoy the "electronic coloring book" and visit us again later to see what new pages have been added!
